“We have been the lucky recipient of several period packs for our female students, and have added these to our restrooms. We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive experience and have received many personal thank you’s from our female students. Thanks, Love for Red!!!!”

Katie HOVDA, Nurse , Van meter community school district

Love For Red has been so wonderful to work with! Because of this organization, we have been able to stock our bathrooms with products for students to use for free whenever they need them! When we need a restock on products, Love For Red sends products immediately! THANK YOU!

Mackenzie Osborn, Nurse,Winterset High School

“We formed a partnership with Love For Red during the 2023-2024 school year. We have been overwhelmed by the amazing support this organization has provided to our students and families. East has over 2,000 students – many of whom are from low income families. We worked together to create product bins that are restocked monthly in our girls’ restrooms. By having products readily available for use in our bathrooms, we have reduced the time wasted coming down to the office for supplies. We’ve also engaged several students to volunteer for this important cause and raise awareness in the school about period poverty. We are so grateful for Love For Red!!”

Madeline Cano Cook, East High School – Des Moines

“I wanted to let you know that USCRI deeply appreciates Love For Red’s donations of period products. I’ve had clients thank me for providing them with menstrual products due to the cold weather, snow and lack of transportation they were unable to get these items. Now with Love For Red’s help I can give back to my client’s menstrual needs. “

Lorena, Mental Health Case Manager, USCRI

“How many times have we, as girls or women, found ourselves in a position of not having the feminine supplies we need? Then, imagine not being able to afford to buy those supplies in the first place. Love for Red has been instrumental in providing supplies to those girls who otherwise would not have the financial support for their menstrual needs. Our school is incredibly grateful for the support Love for Red has provided us throughout the academic year!”

Trudy Vande Kamp, Waukee Middle School

“Love for Red has been an excellent resource for our students who menstruate. Students have shared that it’s nice that the period packs provided through Love for Red are always accessible in the bathrooms because stopping at the nurse or counselors office for a pad or tampon is one extra step (and one that may not always be so comfortable or discreet). We’re grateful for our partnership and are hopeful we can continue to provide this resource for our students for years to come!”

Molly Watkins, Waukee High School

“Urban Dreams has been partnering with Love for Red and accepting donations to give to our community for over two and a half years! We are grateful that we can help be able to ensure that ANYONE and EVERYONE has access to what they need, because menstrual products are not a luxury; they are a necessity. THANK YOU Love for Red for your service, education, and advocacy in this matter, and thank you for letting us be a part of it.”

Rachel Manna, Urban Dreams

“Our Homeless Support Services department received a generous donation of pads and tampons to distribute to people experiencing homelessness. The donation has made a huge difference in the lives of the people we serve and making sure they are treated with dignity and respect. The process of working with Love For Red was so easy, and they were eager to assist our clients!”

Jorie Hidri, Primary Health Care

“Thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful donation! Our mommies who unexpectedly have a child in the hospital will be grateful to know we’re stocked and ready, thanks to you!”

Beth Janson, Ronald McDonald House

“Love For Red has tremendously helped our budget as we are on a tighter budget this year. The young women still have period needs here so the donations have been so appreciative.”
